COVID-19 Spread Prevention Guidelines
This page outlines the policies and practices we will be following at TnT Metabolic Igniters to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. These guidelines have been informed by the COVID-19 Relaunch Guidance on the Government of Alberta website. We will be enforcing the current guidelines and doing our best to stay on top of any/all changes that directly affect the patrons and staff at TnT.
Mandatory Guidelines
*If a coach or member has any symptoms of COVID-19 (such as cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, or shortness of breath), has traveled internationally in the past 14 days, or has been in contact with a known case of COVID-19 s/he will not be permitted in the building.
*Remember to cough and/or sneeze into your elbow. Refrain from touching your eyes, nose, mouth, and face.
*Singing, cheering, handshaking, and high fives are considered to be high-risk activities and thus strongly discouraged. Coaches will not be giving cues/corrections through physical touch.
*Please enter the fitness centre NO MORE than 5 minutes prior to your start time. We do not have a large seating/waiting area at our new location and want to minimize the use of shared common spaces. As well, please exit the building within 5 minutes of your gym ending time.
*If you see someone entering the building before you, please give them a few moments to enter the gym and clear the waiting area prior to entering.
*Hand sanitizer will be available at the entry and throughout the building, which should be used upon entry into the building. We encourage members to use their own as well.
*Please limit the personal items you bring into the gym. All you need is your indoor shoes and a water bottle. We discourage changing clothing at the gym as we have one washroom and need to limit personal articles in the facility.
*Label your water bottle with your name and keep it with you throughout the workout. *Gym shoes will be mandatory for all workouts.
*No gym shoes or personal items will be left at the gym, during the Phase two timeframe.
*We expect that everyone will maintain 2+ meter distancing while in the facility. It is recommended that a longer distance of 3 meters be used for HIGH-intensity workouts. We will plan the workouts accordingly to ensure we are all safe.
*Supporting healthy air quality, we will be using the large overhead fan ONLY, while classes are in progress. Our large door will be opened to help increase fresh air in the building.
*Many spray cleaners/disinfectants and disposable towels will be readily available. Each member is to sanitize any equipment they use after use and do not touch the surface to return the piece of equipment to its storage. We suggest that each member wash (min 20 seconds) and or sanitize their hands after as well.
* Workouts and activities will be planned based on limiting movements around the gym and equipment sharing. Any shared fitness equipment will be sanitized between participants.
*Floors will be cleaned once per day. It is imperative that you use a mat for all floor activities that require you to be lying, kneeling, or sitting on the floor surface.
*We will be sanitizing commonly touched surfaces (handles, water fountain, bathroom ect.) very frequently throughout the day, including in-between classes.
* Hands-free waste bins will be emptied daily. To ensure proper disposal of used disposable cleaning aids.
*Members have the option of wearing a mask during lower-intensity workouts. The Government of Alberta advises NOT to wear masks during HIGH-intensity activities.
*In the event a member requires first aid; the coach will use appropriate protective equipment, including a mask and gloves.
*We will have a rapid response plan in place to manage symptomatic members and staff.
*Gym times may be adjusted to ensure adequate time to sanitize between classes. This may be subject to change, with minimal notice.
*Personal Training clients have the option of in-person, outdoor or virtual workouts.
*If a member is not following these guidelines, s/he will be asked to leave the facility.
NOTE: These guidelines are part of the Phase Two relaunch for our business.
Let’s stay safe so we can continue to operate and conduct our business.
