I have had a love for sport throughout my life. My school years were spent doing an array of competitive sports including track, badminton, x country, ringette and showing horses. After graduation training horses was my focus and showing Morgan Horses my passion. I coached many riders to both local and International levels. I married my best friend, Ken, in 1996 and not long after we began our family with 3 boys. Between the ages of 20-40 I went from proper weight to over weight to underweight to overweight again. I then I discovered the power of fitness and proper lifestyle choices. With the strength and confidence gained in the gym I applied it to the show ring taking my mare to the World Championship Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City. In 2 trips with her I returned with 2 World championships and 2 Res. World Championships! With hard work and attention to detail comes success.
Hard work is not something I have ever shied away from. Big goals have kept me going and moving forward in a positive and competitive direction. With the influence of amazing people, the doors of personal training opened to me. My life was changed, and a new passion born. I stumbled upon Spartan competition and I was surprised at how fun the sport was and set new unexpected goals that I never would have guessed for myself! In my second year of racing I qualified for the Spartan North American championship!
I have always had the love of helping people get from their starting point to their goals and beyond. I enjoy taking note of the details no matter how small, that’s how getting you to your goal is achieved! Being part of someone’s story is an incredible privilege that I don’t take lightly.
